We take pride in being  able to make almost any wood combination sound great in our Petros guitars.   It is a skill that has been honed over 30 years of creating fine  guitars.  But there are certain wood combinations that are just  naturally spectacular! Walnut and Redwood is one such combination. Redwood  has the best weight to stiffness ratio of all the tone woods. Walnut is also  one of the lightest hardwoods we use for back and sides. The beautiful,  Butternut neck reduces the weight of the guitar even further without  sacrificing strength. The result?  A beautiful, brilliant guitar  that weighs only 3 pounds 9 ounces. 

The  Walnut/Redwood pairing, properly shaped, braced and joined, is absolutely  magical.
